AngelSummit US brought together 240+ leaders for a two-day conference on the future of startup investing and ways to expand investment activity in markets around the country.

This diverse group included investors, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, political and community leaders from nearly half the states in the union.

AngelSummit US was the talk of Chattanooga’s Startup Week and the Southeast’s startup communities. The audience hailed from 22 states, with a combined net worth of well over $2 billion in assets, and was representational for every leadership role in startup and investor communities - from angel group managers to accelerator directors, from Mayors to Fortune 500 executives, and from serial founders to superangels.  Media coverage included two local and one regional publications, with hundreds of thousands reached through online social channels.

Chattanooga was once again named the best place to live in by Outside Magazine. While in town for the AngelSummit people will have lots of fun things to do. So come early and stay late for the Summit.

Chattanooga is a vibrant and thriving  river city, surrounded by outdoor adventure and the natural beauty of the mountains. Chattanooga is one of the most revitalized cities in the country with a growing arts, music, and dining scene complemented by iconic world-class attractions. The free electric shuttle serving the downtown area, as well as the fastest citywide internet speeds anywhere in the world are just some of the ways the "Scenic City" offers all the amenities of a major metropolitan city in a comfortable, convenient and beautiful location.

Chattanooga was the first city in the country with high-speed, gigabit internet.  The innovative infrastructure has attracted a wide spectrum of entrepreneurs, engineers, and developers to ideate on the application of the “Gig.” From the city’s open-source library to a multi-story Innovation Center, Chattanooga is a model "smart city" laboratory that rivals every major metropolitan area.

Dark Bridge

The entrepreneurial spirit and the speed at which people innovate has defined the last decade. Startup communities around the world are creating centers of innovation by leveraging technology to solve today’s challenges and profit on tomorrow’s opportunities. Many cities are leading the movement to advance global innovation. Entrepreneurs need inspiration, mentors and capital. The last decade witnessed an explosion in startup activity and mentorship, but little evolution in where and how we invest.  New technology platforms coupled with changes in government regulations are shaping a new investment landscape. But despite the tools and trends, startup investing remains the purview of a few in a handful of markets.

The success of startup communities is dependent on forward-thinking investors who embrace the new paradigm. It’s time to unleash the potential of millions of new startup investors, across the country and around the globe.
